Crafts for Christmas
It may only be the beginning of October but we’ve already been taken over by all things Christmas here at the Red studio.
We swapped sunglasses for wooly hats at the beginning of August and created a winter wonderland in the studio for a project with ESPO!
The brief was to refresh their festive catalogue and inspire teachers to get crafty this Christmas. We created aspirational, yet achievable crafts that would be fun and easy to make in the classroom and that would look great at home.
To highlight the bright and colourful creations that we made, a neutral backdrop was brought into both the still life and model photoshoots. This helped tie the two different sets together and keep a consistent style throughout the catalogue. Some of the model imagery had the children slightly out of focus to ensure the craft was the first thing that the reader's eye is drawn to.
When researching what was popular in the craft world, it was clear that people love to see how things are made, so we included some step by step guides on how to make your own Christmas corner bookmarks and your own wrapping paper. These how to guides not only give a change of pace in the product heavy catalogue but also provides that pop of colour.
If you want to see the catalogue in full or even try out one of the how to's, head on over to the ESPO website here.
